Whether you are my assigned gifter or thinking about writing me a treat (treats are very welcome :)), these are just some ideas to get the writing juices flowing. Please feel free to use, ignore, or partially use anything I’ve written here (except for the DNWs, pls don’t ignore those.)

In general I have a pretty wide and varied taste and I also love any type of ending, so feel free to give me something that ends happily, terribly, tragically, bittersweet, open-ended, or anything in between and I will love it.

Song of the Bull Rider - Alex Rider

Prompt:

As of me signing up for Yuletide, as far as I know I have written the only two fics for this fandom that are currently posted on ao3. That is to say, I’m honestly desperate for any fic for this book at all. I would prefer something canonverse, maybe something looking at Kanan and Parnach post-canon or any kind of during canon missing scene, but really I just don’t want to be the only person writing fic for this book so I’ll take anything. 

Of the many things I love about this book, the evolution of Kanan's feelings for Parnach, even as they always skirt around addressing them, is one of them. I find myself interested in seeing what that evolution looks like post-canon and also how they appear from Parnach's pov

Prompts:

I’d love something post-canon. Preferably fluff, but I’m happy with angst as well. Maybe a proper resolution for Cheng Qian getting pissed off about Yan Zhengming asking Li Yun to make the Heart-Purging Pills (cuz that argument got interrupted by Han Tan going off to become Yao Queen), or maybe all of Fuyao Sect going on a field trip to visit Han Yuan in Nanjiang, or maybe some MingQian PDA, or maybe Cheng Qian observing some habits Shuikeng, Li Yun, and Yan Zhengming have that they developed in the 100 year time skip and he pouts about feeling left out or something. The entire time I read this novel I just wanted to see our 5 major characters be able to go home and live in found family happiness, so something with them doing that post-canon would be nice

Alternatively, I’d love to see a modern cultivation/canon-divergence au where Cheng Qian isn’t able to reform his body and instead, after he dies in Yan Zhengming’s arms, he reincarnates far in the future. It’s now modern times and somehow fate wills that Cheng Qian is reunited with his, now very long-lived, sect members

What enthralled me the most about this book, besides the very cool setting, are the character dynamics and character relationships, specifically the potential for an absolutely rancid and toxic polycule between Ven, Georg, and Yue. Ven and Yue obviously have the whole estranged childhood friends unknowingly trying to kill each other thing going on, and Yue walked semi-voluntarily into being manipulated by Georg, but Georg and Ven have huge toxic yaoi potential. Idk I’d just love to see what a dumpster fire a polycule with all 3 of these guys would look like. I would be happy to see something either canon-adjacent or completely au

I’m really not picky about which of our four main canon pairings you want to focus on (or if you don’t want to focus on any of them and want to write about platonic relationships instead). I’m happy to read any of the following prompts about any of the characters:

I would love to see a take on what a roleswap au with the Livingstones as the big deal pack family and the Bennetts as the witch family could look like.

Alternatively, take your pick of any of the main canon pairings and make the non-Bennett a hunter. What kind of enemies-to-lovers dynamic can you make out of that?

Prompt:

I have a particular interest in seeing Mo Xi get whumped to hell and back in any manner of your choosing. I’m not choosy about the setting, it can be canon-adjacent or completely au, just my absolute favorite part of Yuwu are the ways in which Mo Xi gets physically and emotionally tormented. Extra bonus points for Gu Mang also being in anguish because he can’t stop said torment. (Extra extra bonus points for bottom!Mo Xi if you choose to write smut)

泾渭情殇 - 请君莫笑 | Clear and Muddy Loss of Love - Qing Jun Mo Xiao

Prompts:

Qiyan Agula is such a Horse Girl™️ and one of the saddest things about canon to me is how little she gets to ride horses or use her canonical superpower of being able to talk to and understand them so I'd like an au where she is able to do that. Give me the au (can be canon-adjacent or can be modern, I have no preference) where she stars as the main character of a Horse Movie™️ (wherein she tames the untamable wild horse to win the Big Race™️ and gets a rich girlfriend in the process or something like that. If you wanna work in QiJing’s whole secretly enemies-to-lovers thing/Qi Yan’s revenge arc somehow I would not be opposed). I'm just looking for something where she gets to both ride horses and marry her wife.

Alternatively, the masked person extra made me very interested in both Li Yanru and Wan Ningxiang. They are such mysterious figures to me. Li Yanru in particular oozes main character energy, but I can't exactly ask for you to give me the 7 volume prequel baihe novel about her 😂. Both of the characters leave me with a lot of questions about their canon actions (why did Li Yanru disappear instead of accepting Nangong Rang's offer to come lead after the death of her brother? What sort of relationship did Li Yanru have with Nangong Sunu and was she ever intending to spare Nangong Sunu in her Qi Yan-led revenge plot? Why was Wan Ningxiang such a controversial figure as a concubine? What exactly were each character's respective political roles in the former dynasty?) and I would be very interested in having some of those questions answered

괴물 | Beyond Evil (TV)

Characters: Han Juwon, Lee Dongsik, Lee Yuyeon

Prompts:

Consider: a Lee twins role-reversal au of sorts. Wherein Lee Dongsik is the twin that disappears and Lee Yuyeon is the one that remains. 20 years later Han Juwon still somehow gets involved investigating the case, rather specifically he becomes obsessed with finding the missing Lee Dongsik, even as he’s supposed to be primarily investigating the serial murders Lee Dongsik’s disappearance was related to. Lee Dongsik can be either still alive and living under a different identity for whatever reason or super dead in this au, up to you

Alternatively, a cisswap genderbend JWDS au where a Han Juwon that actually fits Kang Jinmook’s victim profile decides to use herself as bait instead of using Lee Geumhwa. She meets Lee Dongsik and the results are inconclusive. It would be fun if this Han Juwon actually does accidentally get herself kidnapped by Kang Jinmook too but is rescued before anything too permanent happens to her. Up to you if you want to genderbend Lee Dongsik in this au also or not

악마판사 | The Devil Judge (TV)

Characters: Kang Yohan, Kim Gaon

Pairing Preferences: Kang Yohan/Kim Gaon, Kang Isaac/Kang Yohan (I prefer this ship to be one-sided pining on Kang Yohan's part)

Prompts:

Bit of a vague prompt but I’d love to see something that really leans into and accentuates the gothic vibes in the show that are already present (the claustrophobic almost haunted creepy house, the rich family full of tragic secrets, the inherent weirdness/incest vibes of Kang Yohan having romantic feelings for Kim Gaon when Kim Gaon looks so much like Kang Isaac, Kang Elijah's isolation from the world, etc.). Don't shy away from anything horrifying if that is the direction you want to go. Excepting the stuff in my DNWs, I'm up for anything.

Alternatively, I’d love to see a post-canon Gahan reunion. Just a fic that really truly resolves all the emotional tension that is still there at the end of the show
